Counselling

Our Approach

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step.

At Calming Minds Clinic, we provide a calm, compassionate and supportive space where you or your child can feel safe, heard and understood.

Our counselling work is grounded in psychological and therapeutic approaches and tailored to each individual’s needs. We take a gentle, person-centred approach, allowing time for trust to develop and for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace.

Specialist Support

We support children, young people and adults with a range of emotional and psychological needs, including:

  • Anxiety and emotional wellbeing

  • Self-esteem and confidence

  • Grief, loss and bereavement

  • Trauma and difficult life experiences

  • ARFID and eating-related difficulties

  • Emotional regulation

  • Neurodivergence and understanding identity

  • Masking and internalised difficulties

  • Relationships and interpersonal difficulties

For adults, we can also support individuals who have experienced complex or developmental trauma, including those living with the impact of earlier life experiences.

Getting Started

Counselling can be accessed as a standalone service or alongside autism or ADHD assessment and post-diagnostic support where appropriate.

If you are considering counselling for yourself or your child, we offer a free initial call to talk through your needs, answer any questions and consider whether our counselling service may be a good fit.

Healing Starts Here.
